The 2nd Lunch Seminar
we had a presentation by Mayumi Kudo. Please find the details below.
As a reminder, the goal of this seminar is to promote the understanding of the research activities done at the Centre, both to the benefit of students and other researchers from the University.
Date and time: Tuesday, February 17th, from 12:20.
20 minutes presentation + questions/discussion
Place: Faculty of Science Conference Room (Science Building 3, Room 207-209)
Speaker: Mayumi Kudo
Research on helical oligomers
I have been studied about the structures of the artificial helical oligomers based on the aromatic amides or ureas.
Helical structure has well-ordered and stable form, and various helical structures could be observed in nature,
for example, DNA, protein, and polysaccharide. Therefore, construction and detailed analyses of the artificial helical
structures have currently attracted much attention.
In my presentation, I’ll talk about the structural analyses of “helical quinoline oligoamides”that I’ve worked with during the research abroad.
